While at the RRCC Brig. Gen. Holland, engaged with FEMA personnel along with USACE’s three Emergency Response Team members deployed to the RRCC in support of hurricane preparedness and federal recovery operations.
Holland emphasized USACE is ready and prepared to support FEMA’s response efforts post-landfall.
“Supporting the southeastern United States before, during and after this hurricane is our top priority right now. Our team is passionate about this because we care about the people and resources of our nation,” Holland said.
USACE is prepared and ready to respond to natural disasters and overseas contingencies.
The Corps is leaning forward in partnership with local, state, and federal response agencies in preparation for Hurricane Irma. We currently have engaged personnel and are operating in coordination with county, state, and FEMA partners. Our number one priority continues to be life, health, safety of all personnel who may be affected by Hurricane Irma.
