The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and its South Atlantic Division have a long history in developing and managing the nation's water resources. Known as "Civil Works," water resource development includes the design and construction of harbors, waterways, dams and reservoirs. The Corps also operates and maintains many of its projects for a wide variety of purposes.
