  • Corps Foundation Donates 7000 Life Jackets

    The Corps Foundation has provided 7,000 lifejackets to be used at life jacket loaner stations at lakes throughout the South Atlantic Division. Newell Brands donated the lifejackets to the Corps Foundation in collaboration with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) adult water safety campaign, “Life Jackets Worn Nobody Mourns.” The life jackets were delivered to Allatoona Lake where they will be distributed to other locations in the coming weeks.
  • TASK FORCE VIRGIN ISLANDS PUERTO RICO WELCOMES ITS FIRST COMMANDER

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), South Atlantic Division (SAD) welcomed Colonel Charles L. Decker as the first Task Force Virgin Island Puerto Rico (TF VIPR) commander at an assumption of command ceremony held at Fort Buchanan, PR. The ceremony was officiated by Brig. Gen. Daniel Hibner, commanding general, SAD.

  • USACE TAKES NEW APPROACH TO PROJECTS IN U.S. VIRGIN ISLAND AND PUERTO RICO

    May 19, 2023 - Congresswoman Jennifer Gonzalez, Commissioner Resident for Puerto Rico, announces the creation of Task Force U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico during a press conference that was held in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Congresswoman Gonzalez is the Commissioner Resident for the commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

    South Atlantic Division commander Brig. Gen. Daniel Hibner signed a Commander's Memo on Feb. 27th, 2023 establishing the division as an Engineering With Nature Proving Ground.
