Ms. Catheren Gill serves as the Interim Director of Regional Business, South Atlantic Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She provides executive strategic leadership and technical expertise for the Division which executes engineering, design, construction, and project management for civil works, military construction, International and Interagency Service, and environmental programs for all or part of eight southeastern states, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Current annual construction placement exceeds $3 billion and is managed by a workforce of 3,500.
Catheren Gill has 35 years of USACE experience in Military Programs, IIS, and Civil Works. She started her career as an Intern in Savannah District working in construction Area and Resident Offices across Georgia and Germany for 14 years before taking an assignment as the Chief of Contract Administration Section in Palau, Micronesia administering a $150M Road Construction project for the Department of Interior. From there she served as a Resident Engineer, Chief of Construction Branch, and Chief of Engineering & Construction Division in POD, Japan District. Most recently, she has been the Chief of Engineering, Construction, and Planning Division in Wilmington District since 2014. Ms. Gill holds a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, both from GA Tech. She and her husband Ray have been married for 32 years.
