The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) Jacksonville District will host a regulatory transformation workshop from 8 am to 4 pm August 4th at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale, located at 1617 SE 17th Street, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The event will provide an opportunity for regulatory experts, federal, state and local partners and industry consultants to network, share insights and learn about the latest USACE policies, updates and best practices.
Session topics will include updates to the Regulatory Program, advancements in technology such as the Regulatory Request System and electronic permit application submissions, jurisdictional determinations, mitigation strategies, Section 408 permissions, and topics related to the Endangered Species Act and Essential Fish Habitat.
The Jacksonville District Regulatory Division administers one of the Corps’ largest regulatory permitting programs, overseeing activities in waters of the United States, including wetlands and navigable waters, throughout Florida. Through timely, balanced, and transparent permit decisions, the division works to protect aquatic resources while serving the public and supporting responsible economic development.
